Do you have a car park?
We offer free car parking to guests at the rear of the hotel.
The post code for the Crown is YO51 9LB. To access the car park, drive down Horsefair with the hotel on your left and turn in just after our building stops. We do have a large carpark, however should it be full there is a large public car park a few moments walk away which is operated on an ‘honesty box’ basis.
Are you dog friendly?
Your four-legged friends are very welcome to visit the Crown, however we do have a few house rules.
Firstly, dogs are welcome in all areas excluding the hotel’s main restaurant. You are welcome to dine with your well behaved dog in the Bar or outside in our courtyard.
In regards to staying with us, we do have several rooms which we allow dogs to stay in, please phone us direct to book a dog friendly room on 01423 322328.
There is a charge of £15 for up to two dogs, per night.
Accessibility
Due to the age of the building we are unable to fit a lift into the hotel. We only have two ground floor rooms at the hotel which are both situated in the main building of the hotel, one of the rooms is a specialised disability access room with wet room. Please do get in touch directly if you need to request a ground floor room/lower floor in the main hotel.
Our restaurant and bar facilities are all on the ground floor.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in time is from 3pm on the day of your arrival. You can upgrade to an early check in for £20, however, if your room is ready before 3pm you are welcome to check in early at no charge.
Check out is by 11am on the day of departure.
What time is breakfast served for residents?
Monday – Sunday 07:00am – 10:00am

The Crown sits prominently on the main route into Boroughbridge, on what many years ago was the A1 and just one the edge of the River Ure. Recently refurbished, the hotel includes fantastic facilities including a leisure club consisting of swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploration of The Yorkshire Dales and sits centrally to Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate and Knaresborough. Boroughbridge itself is a charming little market town, with lots of little independent shops
